9XBW or XBW - Black & White Shore Minnow

COLOR NAME: Black & White Shore Minnow
COLOR CODES: 9XBW, XBW
RELATED COLOR(S) XBWS
LURE(S) PICTURED: River Runt (119XBW), Big Hedd (9330XBW), River Runt Spook Sinker & Box (9119XBW), River Runtie Spook (959XBW), Dying Flutter (X9200XBW), Wee Tad (590XBW)
DESCRIPTION:

Solid black body with white rib pattern on side. Plastic versions of Heddon lures in this color can have gold eyes, yellow eyes, white eyes and red eyes. This was a uncataloged color for the Big Hedd but was cataloged for all the rest shown. Color code changed to XBW in 1946. Note the rib pattern ranges from a slight angle to a more dramatic angle as shown on the Dying Flutter. The Dying Flutter was made for the Japanese market, c. 2013.

Much later versions of this color are somewhat transparent and there is a separate color code XBWS for them.

(Special thanks to Lawrence for the Big Hedd picture!)
