BWC - Black & White Check

White body with black, checkerboard pattern on the sides. Collectors often refer to it as the "500 Winner" color, a reference to the Indianapolis 500 car race; c. 1950's. This is a uncataloged color for the Hi-Tail and the Sonic.

In 2004, this color was specially ordered by a Japanese importer, OFT, and called Checkered Flag. Initially this color came in 5 Heddon lures, the Crazy Crawler, Zara Spook, Lucky 13, Magnum Torpedo and Chugger Spook. The 210 Spook was also made in this color at a later date.
