DESCRIPTION:

The first catalogued use of this color code was in 1929 for Heddon's Triple Teazer lure for the color Red Bucktail, Heddon series #1000BR.

In 1935, it was used for the wood Heddon Flaptail-Bug lure for the color Brown, Heddon series #710BR.

The 1939 Heddon catalog listed the fly rod lure, Bass-Bug Spook in the color Brown Body, Wings and Hackle, series #974BR. This lure has a transparent body with brown ribs and face, and brown hair or hackle on the tail hook.

Sometime in the early 1950's, Heddon's Tiny Go-Deeper (D350BR) which had a white body with large brown scales on sides; brown back, white belly was produced. A couple of other models of River Runt Spooks have also been found in this color, i.e., a Midget Digit (9020BR) and a Midget Go-Deeper River Runt Spook (D9010BR). It also showed up in Heddon's Super Sonic (9385BR). This is a uncataloged color for River Runt Spooks and Sonics, and as such, the actual name of this particular color is not documented.
