BEY - White/Yellow Back & Head

COLOR NAME: White/Yellow Back & Head
COLOR CODES: BEY
LURE(S) PICTURED: Big Eye (9340BEY)
DESCRIPTION: Big Eye: White body with yellow spine and head. The lure & box shown are a Heddon oddity. Heddon's Tiger lure (series 1020) and Heddon's Big Eye lure (series 9340) are nearly identical except for the eye which is larger in the Big Eye model and the lip is painted. This unusual box labels the lure as a Tiger but the color code, BEY was only used for the Big Eye lure in Heddon catalogs, i.e., BE stood for Big Eye. In the Tiger series, the color code for this very same color was just "Y". This is a cataloged color for the Big Eye lure, c. 1975.
